Back in the basement

Life is back to how it was in the basement :) Paul is working hard and then working on the house. I really hope we can be in by June. Or maybe June 7, but that's my limit! Haha

2 weeks away

Grandma and Grandpa Anderson went out of town for 2 weeks so we got to stay at their house! They have an awesome hot spring pool and other things I really enjoyed: dishwasher, garbage disposal, garage, & space for Aizy to play.  It was a nice 2 weeks.  Paul really enjoyed the pool; he said it helped clear up his nose.
Our first weekend there was my dad's birthday so Aizy and I went to Boise.  Paul stayed to keep the house company and to work on our house. The second weekend was the sisters' shopping trip to Utah.  My mom came and stayed at the Anderson's with Aizy so Paul could work Friday and work on the house Saturday.
For our shopping trip, we ended up being in 3 cars, Amanda went by herself because Olivia's picky.  Retha, Jatauna, Sophia and I were in one car.  Melissa, Becca, Tanner, MaryAnn and Annie were in another.  Then on the way back, Jatauna & Sophia went with Becca because Retha and I stayed another night.
We stopped at Maddox for lunch on Friday *yum!* and then went to Fashion Place mall.  We were going to go to the Gateway Mall but it was raining.  Some of them left early and Retha, Jatauna, Melissa, and I went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner.  Loved it! Saturday we went to City Creek Center.  We ate lunch at Blue Lemon and dinner at P.F. Changs.  Dinner was better than I remembered! I got a lot of stuff.  I spent a lot of money, haha, but it was fun! Time to get rid of stuff that's been in my wardrobe since I was in high school.  Some of my clothes are in storage so I know I have a lot that can go, but I can't get to all of it.
Our house is still a work in progress.  Paul has waterproofed the master shower and should be able to start tiling soon (he needs one more piece to come in the mail). The drywall guy will be done texturing this week.  Then Paul will start installing trim and doors so {hopefully} painting can happen next week! We'll see :-)

Conference weekend

This weekend was conference. Paul was working on the house Saturday so Aizy had to entertain herself while I watched it Saturday; she did so good! Until the last talk, so I missed most of it.
On Sunday, Paul was home ALL DAY! No meetings, no leaving Aizy AT ALL! I can not tell you the last time he has been able to spend 5+ hours with her. He has been super busy. She loved it. She was worried he was going to leave any minute but by the afternoon that had eased up a bit. She is a daddy's girl! She fell off her little pink chair and hit her head and wanted daddy. Then mommy. Then daddy again :)
Today was her 18 month check up. She is back at 3 percentile for weight (20 lb 8pz) and is just under 50 percentile for height (31 1/4"). She also got her last 3 shots until she is 4 or 5. Yay! I never bring her pacified with us but she is teething and obviously miserable so I brought it for after her shots. I don't usually do mirror shots but she usually doesn't put her head on me!

Easter

I got some better pictures of Aizy in her dress and even a family picture! BUT they are on my camera and will be put on the blog later. Easter was Aizy's first time in nursery all by herself for both hours! They said she did great and only asked for me for a few minutes. When we went to pick her up she was happy and playing with a car. Yay!
The weekend before was the HHS alumni basketball games. Paul and his dad played in them, along with some cousins. Aizy was ok for a little but likes to explore too much for the stands.
Monday was the Stanger Easter egg hunt. Aizy got some treats and $11! Paul and I got a little more money, some gift cards, and a whole lot of EVOO! Haha hopefully I can get through it all before it expires.
We met up with Evelyn and Amanda at a park on Tuesday. The sun was nice but it was pretty windy. Aizy went down the big spiral slide all by herself! And would have again if she could have figured out how to get back to it.
House update- we didn't know when we insulated with the spray in kind, that it would take so long to dry! Honestly we didn't know it needed to dry. It was done last Monday! Not cool. They put all the Sheetrock in the house and should have started hanging it today. They didn't.
New Aizy things- she likes to give us a kiss and say bye when she goes to play in another room. I love it! She says Oh no al lot now. And has said outside a few times. She attempted to say basketball (does pretty well!) and strawberry. She loves songs like The itsy bitsy spider, the Barney song, the one about raindrops and lemon drops, and popcorn popping. She knows lots of animal sounds (this is what I do to get her to hold still while I hangs her diaper!) monkey, cow, ducky, cat, wolf, horse, lion/tiger/bear, bunny, fish, and puppies growl.

Nice weather again

Hopefully this time it stays! Aizy and I plan on walking everyday that its nice! (Well she rides and I jog.) because our new house is so close, we like to go past it and snap a photo. The insulation inspection is tonight and Sheetrock will start Monday. The siding is 99% done and the stone/stucco is probably 85% done. This makes the outside look nice and finished!
I still can't believe that we sold out last house on Craigslist! It's kind of amazing that we sold it at all! That family was just perfect for that setup.

Hi mom

I was making dinner last night and I was cooking steaks that needed my undivided attention for about 8 minutes. Aizy was coming in and out of the kitchen. When I was done, I went to check on her. This is what I found. And she just said," "hi mom" and went for more!

Venting- the house kind

I sometimes think that the new house will be an answer to all of my problems! Space (obviously), my desire to craft and bake to my hearts content! And time. I do not know how the house will allow me to have more time but I think, "in the house I will have time to do ________." Maybe it's more of a space thing. I don't have new pictures cuz everything that's taking place isn't fun to look at. Plumbing, electrical, and hvac- all very important but don't make for fun pictures. I just need to do it anyways. We did get our garage floors poured Friday! They will pour the driveway and back porch and front steps down the road. We have our front door but it needs to be stained so it's currently quite ugly. The patio door is the wrong one, hopefully they switch it out soon!
