Today while I was teaching history, the principal walked in. I know she wanted to check on some of my "lovely" children, but she stayed for 40 mintues! All of a sudden I was rather warm and had to take off my jacket :) I really enjoy our history curriculum so it wasn't bad timing for her to observe. We were discussing Russia and their Czar, Ivan the Great. I made an analogy about how the princes inheritence was split up during this time. I called her the queen of Xavier (before she came in) and if I was a princess, I'd only get my room. If I died, the students would only get their desks as inheritance. Anyways, when she came in I made another reference to this analogy and all 25 eyes went right to the principal! She had no idea why, so I explained; it was pretty funny. I did pretty good, according to the paper she left me. *Whew!*
This picture was before school started and before we had chairs.
