Smarts!

Aizy is learning! If Paul sticks his tongue out, she'll do it too! She's so smart haha. We came to Boise while my dad and Paul went to the BSU bowl game on Vegas. My grandparents are here from California for Christmas. Grandpa was holding her last night and was bobbing his head as he talked to her and guess what?! She did it too! It wasn't much cuz she doesn't have much head control but it was an intentional head bob. Then mom was gargling and making noise and she kept doing it so Aizy would mimic her and she sure did! So cute :)

Aizy Days

Nothing much new! She's still a great baby. She eats 3 1/2 ounces every 3 hours during the day and falls asleep 1 1/2 or 2 hours after she eats. At night she's gone between 4 and 7 1/2 hours between eating! She's so happy and sweet. Paul and I love her smiles and giggles. She's getting big and has started to stare at her hands and my nails (Annie gave me Christmas colored acrylics) and she seems to like them.
We've taken some family pictures recently and she got bigger in the 2 weeks between the 2 photo shoots! The ones with my family were the second week in November and Paul's mom took ours after that.
Christmas is coming soon; we'll be splitting the day between Boise & Twin. Poor Paul wants an iPad and a snow bike but each are about $600! Haha he's not getting either. Maybe in a few yours. We haven't gotten any snow yet but I'm really okay with it. Jack's fence is broken AGAIN but he only tries to run away at night so he's sleeping in the stairwell.
I've done a bit of crafting since Aizy was born- I made a Christmas wreath, Amanda's gift, Brittney's gift, a menu board for a friend to give as a gift, Mary Ann's gift... one for Paul.. I think thats it. She's so good and is content to watch me and just hang out :)

Christmas is coming!

I attempted to take some Christmasy pictures with Aizy while Paul was at church meetings. I haven't used more than a point and click camera since high school I think so it wasn't as successful as I hoped but she sure is darling! I must have worn her out because after, I put her on the boppy and she passed out so fast!
For Christmas I'm making Brittney's gift; something she can use in her new apartment but I can't post pictures yet on the off chance that she sees this! But I was pretty excited to do it so I finished it today. We got Chris and Amanda on Paul's side of the family and I'm almost done with making their gift, too. I have recently discovered the amazingness of pintrest.com and have come up with so many craft ideas for Christmas and just for my house in general.
Pictures will be coming soon!

Pictures!

Pictures of our sweet baby!

She is still such a good baby! She goes 5 then 4 hours in the night and is awake a lot more during the day. She's so smiley, too! (see above picture!) she'll "talk" if you talk to her, she says "ooh" and its so darling! Brittney, Annie, and I went to Footloose today and she came along. She watched for a while and fell asleep. She usually protests when her bottle is gone, but she didn't in the movie and I was very glad.
Brittney is here for the weekend and we went to the midnight premiere of Breaking Dawn with Annie, Amanda, Retha, and Melissa. Paul did a great job for those 3 hours and was feeding her when we got home just after 2. Brittney weighed her today and she weighs 10 pounds! The scale didn't have ounces but I need to schedule her 2 month appointment soon. Today Paul got to see her awake and happy and she just loves him! She smiled so much and he loved it too!

Aizy Aizy

Where does time go? And what have I done with mine?! Haha take care of my little Aizy! She is such a good baby who only cries when she's hungry. She lets us set her down and likes to be in her car seat, especially in the car looking out the window. We've gone to Boise and Zion National Park and didn't have to pull over for her ever! We're spoiled (hopefully she stays this way- knock on wood!)
She is her father's child for sure- long and skinny! At her 10 day appointment she had lost 3 ounces, which they say is normal. I'm not sure how much she weighs now but she still fits into newborn diapers but her newborn footed pajamas are too short for her. I assume she grows like her dad, up and never out. Lucky little girl haha.
She sleeps pretty well and has for a few weeks now. She doesn't really have a bedtime but once she's out for the night she goes 5 hours then 4 hours between eating. Yay for that! I never had to the every 2 hour thing or I might have died!
We blessed her on October 30 and Paul did a beautiful job; he even thought about getting emotional during it ;) we're lucky to have family so close by; she had a large circle! She didn't cry or toot, which Paul was afraid she might do.
She's a happy baby who is usually content with just hanging out in the boppy while I get ready or accomplish things.
Last week she discovered her tongue and licks her pacifier sometimes instead of sucking on it. If you're not careful she might lick you! She holds her head up very well now and likes to look at the lights. Also, last week she started smiling more, even if it's just at angels :) I even got a video if her giggling at something!
Paul probably notices more changes than I do because he's gone all day. My favorite thing was I was laying her down, about to change her diaper and Paul saw her and said (almost yelled) "oh! She's just so tiny little!!" haha it was really cute. He usually calls her Tiny Little. She is a big fan of him singing and he's made up some great verses to some lullabies.
Another thing she's a great fan of is 'the magic carpet,' known to others as a changing pad. The 2 we have are both sky blue and for some odd reason they calm her down. At first she didn't like to be changed but now just laying her on the pad makes her happy most of the time! Funny little baby!

Welcome Aizy!

While in the hospital, I wanted to remember how things went do I kept track in a note in my phone. This is what happened:
Friday my appointment was at 10, heart monitoring then the ultrasound to check fluid level. Had been 7.7 on Monday, dropped to 6.3. Met with Doctor Allen. He said it's not going to get any better so I can go check in now or come back this evening. I decided to go right away and get started. Checked in to Labor and Delivery at 11:30 in room 3, cervitec pill in at 1:45, lunch at about 2. Paul left after noon to get our bag from home, eat lunch, and grab some movies.
They can give me the pill every 4 hours. It's supposed to thin my cervix and almost irritate it into contractions which will make me dilate. The plan is when I am a 4 to give me pitocin and put me into real labor. I think I'll be here for a long time; at least 24 hours and I will have an October baby!
Second dose at 5:40. She thinks my cervix is thinner and said that my contractions are regular which is a good thing. Paul and I watched a Criminal Minds marathon and then he went to get Dairy Queen for dinner. Hopefully this stuff acts fast and we don't have to spend 2 nights here.
They didnt give me the 3rd one at 9:40 liked planned because I was having too many contractions too quickly and it could stress the baby. Instead they were going to check with Dr Coleman and see what to do next. It's 10:40.
They gave me another dose at 1 because my contractions had slowed down.
7 am i was a 3/4 and the nurse, Jessica, went to call the anesthesiologist and put the epidural in at 8:15. They checked me at 8:30 and I was at a 9! Dr Allen came in and said they'd let me sleep but at 9:30 they checked me and I was almost a 10! I started pushing at 10:20. I pushed 3 times per contraction and threw up my dinner. I pushed on my back, my side, my back and she was born at 11:22!

End of the month

Still no baby!! On the 15th, my mom and I went to the Zac Brown Band concert. It was so good! It was at the Taco Bell Arena and the seats were not comfy, but the show was great. They are all so very talented!
I have been given so much advice on how to get her here but nothing is working. I was told to plan something fun and then it'll happen. Or to give up.or this that and the other and nothing has worked. Today is her due date and I think I finally am having some contractions but there's no pain involved. My mom had these for a few days before she went into labor, but it's finally progress! At my appointment Wednesday there were no changes so I was beginning to think my body didn't realize it was going to have to deliver a baby.
I think we're going boating tomorrow, maybe we can bounce her out. Then The first home BSU game is tomorrow night and Paul is supposed to go but he might not feel comfortable leaving me to go into labor alone :) But when I had people guess, 6 people guessed Monday the 26 and Paul guessed the 27. We'll see! I have another appointment Monday where they will monitor her and make sure there is enough fluid in there still. Hopefully my body is making some changes to get her here next week!

What will September bring?

Hopefully a baby!! Along with her arrival I'm excited to hopefully: have no heartburn! paint my toes without it being awkward, a comfortable position to sit, wear my normal clothes, hips that don't hurt and fingers that don't swell... Etc. But mainly the no heartburn.
35 weeks
36 weeks
Her room is ready (except for the curtains my mom is making). I made one last trip to target and got the last few things I registered for that I think I'll need. I've had a lot of time this summer so everything is washed and put together. I had 2 baby showers last month and got so much stuff! At the one here I mostly got clothes and the one in Boise I got a ton of diapers. Thank goodness because those are necessary things!
At the baby shower in Twin- all the bows they made for Aizy :)

Our grass is in and looks so good! Paul has done a great job with it and it looks like a lawn! We also got a water softener so this place is becoming a home :)
September brings football season, Paul's fall love (wake boarding is his summer love). I don't mind the games but I don't get into it like he does- it is about the only time he really gets worked up. Aizy is due the day before BSU's first home game. Since he has tickets to the games, he'll go but I told him if I start having contractions he has to stop what he is doing and come home ASAP! My mom had long labors so I expect to as well.
She's due 20 days from today and I'm not sure what else to do with myself. My list of things to do is completed for the most part. I always want to scrapbook, maybe I'll get some of that done!

These days

4th of July weekend- Annie has a watermelon and Retha and I look like we do!
Since the trek I have been spending lots of time organizing. Kitchen cupboards, dresser drawers, spare closets, etc. there were lots of things that I kept saying, "I'll do it later," and later finally arrived! I've done some crafts and baking. I figured out how to use the program mom got me for Christmas and used it to cut vinyl lettering for a decoration in the baby's room.
Before
After

Paul's parents bought a boat 4th of July weekend so we've done that quite a few times. Paul LOVES wakeboarding.
For our anniversary present (i cant believe it will be 3 years on Monday!!) we got a new bedroom set and TV console from Costco (great prices!) That lead to a lot of rearranging taking place and things getting moved to the basement.
My mom came to town and she is going to make curtains for the baby's room. Summer is here and has been for a few days. She went up to girls camp with me Wednesday night. Thursday we went to Hands On and got our creative juices flowing. We went camping Friday night and boating Saturday. She also helped me make homemade bagels for the first time and they are quite yummy! We are doing another craft today and then there's a get together tonight for Becca and Greg, and Jared who are all leaving us this week :( i've kept her busy!

Summer Vacation to CA & trek

So much has happened in the month that school's been out! We started the summer off by a girls only trip to California. Brittney, Summer, Mom, and I drove to Hemet and spent some time in Orange, too.
We started the trip out camping up near Idyllwild, CA for the weekend.
We did some hiking while we were up there which helped prepare me for the trek! We did about a 3 mile hike and stopped at this beautiful pond at the top.
We did some shooting, too.

(This one's only a pellet gun-25 weeks pregnant)

After a weekend of camping, we stayed a few days at Grandma and Grandpa's in Hemet. We did some serious shopping! The trunk was already full and at that point I wasn't sure if everything would fit for the trip home.
Then we went to Uncle Derek and Aunt Melissa's for a few more days. We went to Huntington Beach with Uncle Derek, but it was only in the high 60's.
The next day we went to Disneyland with Uncle Josh.

After a little over a week we loaded Mom's car back up and drove back home!

We got back to town on Saturday night and Monday my friend, Brooke, came to see me before she moved! We went to Shoshone Falls and there was so much water going over! It was beautiful.

Thursday after that Paul and I left for the trek our stake was having. It was a "mini-trek" because we just went into the South Hills but it was a great experience.
Neither Paul nor I were exactly thrilled to go but it was wonderful. I learned so much about the Pioneers and only have a tiny tiny understanding of what they sacrificed.

The End of the Year

Over Memorial Day weekend I went to Boise and Paul stayed home to work on the yard- but the weather didn't cooperate very well. I got a crack in my windshield from road construction on the way there and now it's a huge crack! More than 12 inches- I'm not happy about it. My mom and I did some baby shopping (Dad's going to have to give her a limit!) Brittney and I saw the newest Pirates movie, which was good! But would have been better NOT sitting in the 2nd row next to a man who smelled of cigarette smoke... ew!

(23 weeks pregnant but you can't tell in this one- I like this picture haha)

I came back to 2 1/2 days of school. Tuesday we had our awards ceremony and ice cream party. Wednseday was Freedom Day; we walked to CSI and played at Frontier Field. I got the first sunburn of the season yesterday! Today was a 1/2 day and I had my students pack up and load my room for me :) My room is empty, empty, empty and my car is full, full, full!

Whatever will I do with myself now, you may ask? I have no idea and I'm ok with that! Well, in a week Mom, Brittney, Summer and I are driving to California for a while to see the family down. Then at the end of the month Paul and I are going on the Trek with our stake. After that, however, I have no plans until a baby comes in Septermber :)
(23 1/2 weeks prego but you can sure see it in this one!)

(baby bedding, no mattress yet but I couldn't wait!)
