Fun times with Aizy

Before I forget, moments I've loved recently:
*Earlier this week, I was in the bathroom and Aizy came in and said something about her tummy, (like "hmm hiah liksh tummy." I didn't know she knew the word tummy. So I said "do you need something for your tummy?" Her response was, "food." Haha it caught me by surprised that she recognized her hunger like that.
* I was watching So You Think you Can Dance and they were doing the jive. She thought it looked like fun so she asked for my hands and started swinging around. Then she looked back at the TV and he was doing some lifts and tricks. Aizy looked back and me serious for a second. And then she laughed. Haha I think she knew we couldn't do that!
*Sometimes she finds her tutu from her 1st birthday in her closet and brings it to me. I put it on her then she asks for her boots, (new cow girl boots) so cute.
*She wanted to sit on the potty the other day. She wanted all of her clothes off and to hold the Thomas train toy. Nothing happened but when I took her off, she put Tommy in the water. Not cool Aizy. Not cool.
* Paul was outside working and Aizy kept saying something about daddy. He doesn't understand her very well so he asked me what she was saying. I looked at her and she was making a fist and pulling her arm in like YES! but I didn't know what she was saying. Upon further listening,  she was saying "Daddy's awesome!!" Hand movement included.
*Today she was playing with her shapes that you push through the kid into the box. She couldn't get one to fit so instead of shoving it or getting mad, she lifted the lid and pushed it inside and moved on. Haha it made me laugh out loud! She showed that shape :)
* She is really into her baby doll the past few days. She wraps it up and carries it around (in a way that would strangle a real child). She puts it to sleep and says "shhh."
*Paul finished installing the tramp last night and Aizy is in love!! She really likes to bounce.
All these things make me love her more everyday!

Anniversary getaway

This past weekend we went to Boise to celebrate our 5th anniversary. We dropped Aizy off at my parents house and went to Gino's in meridian. It's a popular Italian restaurant and it was yummy! And I was extremely impressed with the service on a Friday night. We had been in a hurry to make it to dinner on time so we then went to my parents house. We unloaded aizys stuff and went to the movie theater. We saw Jobs. If it wasn't a true story it probably wouldn't have been good. It was very interesting. I wonder how accurate it was.
Saturday we didn't really have plans. There were some ideas but then Paul wanted to shop! Haha which is kinda funny. So we went to a few sporting goods stores and then to the mall and TJ maxx. I'm glad we did because its been like 3 years since he's gotten enough to count as really shopping. We ate lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and went to another movie (paranoia). It was about 6 and we were still full from lunch so we went to Roaring Springs. It got chilly when the sun was fine but it was fun!
We ate at 10 pm at Applebee's (we got a discount there with our room key) so that wasn't where I had wanted to eat (the melting pot) but there isn't much open at 10!
Sunday morning we just hung out at the hotel until check out at noon. Then we went to my parents house and got Aizy. She was very excited to see us! But she had fun with grandma, grandpa, and summer. They said she was really good except for Sacrament meeting...

5 years

Happy anniversary to us! I love you Paul, (not that he ever reads this but still...) I can't believe it's been 5 years. I remember when that seemed like such a long time but now that its here, it doesn't seem like its been that long!
We are just going on a date tonight and next weekend we will drop Aizy off at my parents' and have a weekend to ourselves in Boise.
1 baby, 2 houses, 3 trips to the ER, 4 cruises and 5 years later :)
(I noticed in these pictures I'm always on the right side. Interesting.)

On another note

Now that we are in the house, we had mice and needed a cat. So we got Fuzz from Maryann's collection of cats.  Fuzz is darling and friendly but probably was lonely so we caught another one. It is ugly and not friendly but keeps Fuzz busy.
Aizy has been sick. She got sick 2 weeks ago on Tuesday and threw up on Wednesday night. She was better on Thursday and I though we were all clear. Then on Monday night she threw up again!! She was fine though so I was confused what was going on.
Apparently there is something going around that the kids have gotten, {Annabelle has gotten it worst, Mollie, abi, Mayzee, Malah, ander, Sophia, and Aizy.} that can last for weeks and causes them to throw up every 4-5 days. Holy. Anyways, Aizy hasn't thrown up for a week so I think we are all clear!!

Lessons from last night

Saturday evening, we went boating. Paul got 2 new wakeboards to try. He wasn't quite used to the one he was on but was trying some moves and..
He ate it.
{Hard}
I was 50 feet away (or however long the rope was) and over the sound of the boat and people talking, I heard him SMACK. And I looked up and his board was not attached to his feet. His bindings do not come off easily so that was a warning to me that he was in bad shape. Clay said, "if he doesn't have a bloody nose it'll be a miracle." He didn't have a bloody nose but he climbed in the boat and said, "I think I have a concussion."
He didn't have symptoms really, his face was a little swollen from whacking the water, and he said he felt funny but no headache.
Sunday he woke up still not feeling right. We checked his pupils and they both were dilating fine. He stayed home and napped- that's his highest side effect. He is tired. And super hungry! Sunday night he said that he thought his leg was gallon asleep but as he moved around it didn't go away. It spread to the whole right side of his body. He went out to move the sprinklers and realized he didn't feel the wind on the right side of his face. I looked at his pupils again and they were not the same size. So I called my dad and he said we better go in. Aizy was asleep so Maryann came over and listened for her. We left here at 10, got a blessing from mark and Jared. And went to the ER.
The ER doc thought maybe he had a dissected his carotid artery in his neck and it was throwing little clots to his brain, causing the symptoms. But after an hour of wait and an hour for it to be read, the cat scan didn't show anything. The doctor said obviously something is wrong so let's do an MRI to see if you bruised your spinal column. And after another hour and then 1 1/2 hour MRI, still nothing.
So we were there from 10:30-5 basically and got no answers.
But, lessons from last night:
Always check that your wallet is in your purse. Aizy had apparently played with mine so we didn't have our insurance card. Or money for food! Luckily a nurse brought me some food at like 2:30!
Keeping a copy of your insurance card is not a bad idea!!
Perhaps stashing cash in your car isn't a bad idea either. I mean like $5 but its better than what I had last night!
Today Paul's tingling is still there and he still can't see so clearly out of his left eye (the one that doesn't dilate and that got water behind it).
