Christmas and New Year

Lights in the South Hills with Jack & Aizy

This year for Christmas we were in Twin. We went to the annual Christmas Eve party at the Stanger's and had a visit from Santa. The next morning we did presents here and went to the Stanger's around 10 and went to sacrament meeting with them. After church we came home and grabbed Jack and headed to Meridian. We were very spoiled for Christmas, even though it was supposed to be a small one! My grandparents were still in Meridian so they were able to spend time with their only great-grandchild. Grandpa kept saying "Geez, that's such a noisy baby. Make her be quiet!" But, anyone who's been around Aizy knows he was being very sarcastic.

The new year started for us with Paul becoming the Elder's Quorum president in our ward! He's excited to become more organized and know what's going on :) We went to a New Year's Eve party at Chris & Amanda's and passed the night playing games and eating some Muddy Buddies (compliments of Retha and Amanda).

We haven't had any snow yet and the weather has been in the 40's! I have to admit I don't miss the snow- it makes the roads icky and driving conditions not ideal. Mom got me a ticket to the Brad Paisley concert for Christmas so I hope the roads are good for that!

These days Aizy is not so great at sleeping! From about week 11-12 she would wake us up more in the night and make just enough sound to wake us but she wasn't actually awake. Then after about week 12 she started to get a runny nose and did NOT want to go to sleep! She cries (which isn't something she ususally does) and is very particular about what we do to make her stop crying. Last night she watched the Rose Bowl and the night before it was Mission Impossible 2. She wants us to stand with her and make sure she can still see the TV. Have we created a TV junkie already?! She loves Baby Einstein and once she's calm she'll watch that for a long time but at night that won't calm her down. She's still as happy and sweet as ever during the day but after her last nap of the night she's so sad.
